15 December 2023: Along Dadaab-Garissa road, near Dadaab, Garissa county, four health officials were killed and two others injured when an Al-Shabaab-planted IED detonated, hitting the four-wheel drive car they were traveling in. The vehicle was also damaged. The health team was conducting the Garissa County TB exercise when the incident happened. Source: The Star
Nigeria
21 December 2023: In Kanbi, Moro, Moro LGA, Kwara state, the medical director of Dafikayo Clinic was killed in a suspected assassination attack at his home in the early evening by an unidentified armed group. The victim’s daughter was also kidnapped. Source: Vanguard

25 December 2023: In Warrap state, a nurse was killed in a road ambush by unidentified perpetrators. Source: Eye Radio.
